About

A community built by educators, for educators.

The Faculty Lounge offers a space for educators to pause, reflect and turn shared ideas into action in the classroom. One question stays at the center:

What does it mean to be human?

Why the Lounge

Technology is changing more than how we learn and work. It is shaping our culture, our values and how we connect with one another. To thrive, students need to be equipped to adapt, and that takes more than technical skills. It takes mindfulness, empathy and judgment. Educators play a central role in helping students get there.

When educators feel grounded and confident through this change, they can better support students as they find their way.

What the Lounge is

Through gatherings, hands-on workshops and conversations with invited guests, we create space to pause, reflect, build a network of peers, and leave with fresh perspectives and practical tools to use in our own teaching.

Our focus is the responsible practice of emerging technology in education, approaching new tools with openness and judgment as we work through the questions together.

Who it’s for

The Lounge is open to educators at every level, from K-12 to higher education, and to anyone who cares about education. We also work with schools, universities and organizations, offering workshops, discussion panels and talks shaped around each community’s questions and needs.

Wioleta Kaminska

With nearly two decades of experience in academia, Wioleta is both an educator and an artist. Over the last few years, she has been hearing the same questions from educators and students across the globe, and asking them herself: How do we use AI responsibly? How can these tools make learning more human, not less? And most importantly: How do we help students adapt and thrive in a fast-changing world?

In her art practice, she’s spent over a decade exploring how an accelerating world shapes our attention, our perception and our sense of what it means to be human.

None of these questions have easy answers, and Wioleta believes no one should have to face them alone. She created The Faculty Lounge to offer educators a sense of belonging. It’s a space where everyone can slow down for a moment, take on these questions together, learn from one another and feel more confident guiding their students through this transition.
